John and Elna Rosenquist's Departure From Sweden

John and Elna Rosenquist left Sweden from the port in Malmö on September 20, 1888.  They were accompanied by their two youngest sons, August and Godfrey.  They were aboard the same steamship on which Joseph had emigrated the previous year, the Via Köpenhamn.  The list shown below was prepared by the Swedish police before John, Elna, and their sons left Sweden.  Their names appear near the middle of the list (August and Gottfrid Jönsson, Jöns Karlsson, and Elna Nilsdotter).  A "titel" or occupation is listed for each passenger.  August was a "dräng" (farmhand), Godfrey was a "gosse" (little boy), John was a "hemmanseg" (farmer who owned his own land), and Elna's occupation was "hustru" (wife).
