CHRISTMAS
Little silvery
snowflakes
Falling
with delight,
What could
be more perfect
On a
Christmas night.
To the church
we'll hurry
It's
snowing all the while
To hear the
Blessed Story
Of the
Dear Christ Child.
Singing Christmas
carols
As we've
never sung,
Oh! Isn't
Christmas lovely
For
just every one.

SANTA'S STYLE
I wonder why
old Santa wears
A suit of brightest
red
And why he
wears that funny cap
Of fur upon
his head?
If he should
wear the latest style
In clothes
like other men,
Shave off his
beard and wave his hair,
Would we adore
him then?
No, - - Santa
wouldn't be Santa
If he did not
dress in red,
And have his
beard and funny cap
Perched snug
upon his head.

SANTA IS COMING
Yes, Santa
Claus is coming
(He has always
made the grade)
Though he'll
have some up-hill climbing
To many homes
I'm afraid.
You see, the
butcher and the baker
Have bills
that we must pay,
Which leaves
us almost nothing
To pave old
Santa's way.
But with many
fine donations
Of money, food
and toys,
Old Santa's
sleigh is loaded
For all good
girls and boys.
Yes, Santa
Claus is coming
To little ones
I am sure,
To fill their
hearts with gladness
Be they very
rich or poor.

THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving is one
day we all should give thanks,
For more important
blessings than money in banks,
Like good health
and sunshine and plenty fresh air,
For the food
we eat and the clothes we wear.
For fathers
and mothers, for sisters and brothers,
For neighbors
and friends, for wheat fields and flowers,
For homes and
churches, for schools and libraries,
For lakes and
rivers, for woodland and prairies.
For hope and
courage, for faith and love,
For God our
good Shepherd, Who watches from above.
So many great
blessings we can be thankful for
As living in
America where there is no war.

A BOY'S THANKSGIVING
I'm looking
forward to real Thanksgiving
Of plenty roast
turkey, heaps of sage dressing,
Boston baked
beans and spicy pumpkin pies,
A big plum pudding
that'll open your eyes.
Flaky mashed
potatoes, delicious creamed peas,
Cranberry jelly
and salad, if you please,
Cookies, fruit,
nuts and maybe some cake,
I know I'll
wind up with a bad tummy ache.
Do I like Thanksgiving?
Well, I guess!
Although it
may cause me pain and distress,
But I'll rally
you'll see in no time at all
and be ready
for feasting again next fall.
